Josy Rother is an Earthling spawned and bred.
Rumours that they merely crash-landed on this backwater planet
are completely unfounded.

Posing as comic book writer Josef Rother,
they contributed to HEAVY METAL MAGAZINE
where their tales explored the fantastic and the uncanny.
They worked with artists as diverse as
David Lloyd and Donna Barr.

With Eckart Breitschuh,
they created the ARGSTEIN fantasy series
and took their readers deep into the dark forests of German folk horror.
Critics described ARGSTEIN as “Hellboy in Lederhosen!”

As a translator,
Josy put German words into the mouths of countless
MARVEL and DC superheroes, including Alan Moore's SWAMP THING
and the queer outcasts of Grant Morrison’s DOOM PATROL.
They also translate the comic book tie-ins of STRANGER THINGS
and James Cameron’s AVATAR.

Josy denies all reports that they are a wicked witch.
